Possessions
Privacy policy
Possessions doesn't ask you to make an account with us. It has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your progress stays with you and your platform.
Who we are
Possessions is made by Lucid Labs Pvt Ltd ("Lucid Labs", "we"), an independent game studio in India. For anything in this policy, write to hello@lucidlabs.in.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the full game and its demos on:
- Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
- Windows PC, through the Xbox app and Microsoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store
- PlayStation 5
- Meta Quest
- any other platform we release Possessions on later
- this website, possessionsgame.com
Possessions on iPhone and Android is published by Noodlecake, and their privacy policy covers those versions.
What the game collects
Nothing that reaches us. Possessions doesn't run analytics or show ads, and it doesn't send your data to any server of ours, because it has no servers of its own.
The game saves your progress and settings (which rooms you've finished, your language, your sound and display choices). That save lives on your device, and on platforms with cloud saves, the platform keeps a copy so you can carry on from another console or PC.
What your platform handles
When you play, the platform you play on signs you in and runs its own features: your gamertag or online ID, achievements and trophies, cloud saves, friends, purchases and refunds. The platform holder processes that data under its own privacy policy, not ours:
- Xbox and Microsoft Store: Microsoft Privacy Statement
- PlayStation: Sony Interactive Entertainment privacy policy
- Steam: Valve privacy policy
- Epic Games Store: Epic Games privacy policy
- Meta Quest: Meta privacy policy
Platforms give us sales and play reports in aggregate, such as how many people bought or played the game in a country. Those reports don't identify you.
This website
possessionsgame.com uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the site people use: the pages you view, the buttons and links you click, whether you play the trailer, how far you scroll, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. We use it only to improve the site. Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy, and you can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or any content blocker.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the site, under the Cloudflare privacy policy.
When you write to us
If you email us for support or press, we keep your email address and message only to reply and to follow up on what you asked. We don't add you to a mailing list.
Sharing
We don't sell or rent personal data, and we don't share it with advertisers. We'd only disclose information if the law requires it.
Children
Possessions has no chat and no user-generated content, and it doesn't collect personal data from anyone, children included. Parents can manage play time, purchases and online features through the family settings on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, Epic and Meta Quest.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR in Europe and the UK, the CCPA in California and the DPDP Act in India, you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email hello@lucidlabs.in and we'll answer within one month. Data held by your platform, such as your account, achievements or cloud saves, is managed through that platform's privacy settings.
To delete your progress, delete the game's saved data in your console or PC's storage settings.
Changes
If what the game or this site collects changes, we'll update this page before that version ships and change the date below.
